Album of the Week: Give Up by The Postal Service

August 24th, 2007 by Wesley

I’ve been listening to the Postal Service for quite some time now, and I like them a lot. Give Up is there first and only studio release, and I’m looking forward to future albums. Ben Gibbard, vocalist for Death Cab For Cutie, does the vocals for the Postal Service. Me being a Death Cab fan, makes the Postal Service that much better.

This album features songs like Sleeping In, Such Great Heights and my personal favorite; The District Sleeps at Night.

The Postal Service can be compared best with bands like: Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Modest Mouse, ect. So, if you’re into indie/rock/alternative music, than you should considered adding these guys to your music library.

Wow, I did not know that Ben Gibbard did the vocals for them. Death Cab is great!

This is an excellent album! The track “Clark Gable” is a great one to work out to, haha. Ben Gibbard is a musical genius.

The Postal Service is the only indie I listen to.

    In fact, it’s this album.

Not really my style, I’m into Jazz. But this is good stuff.
